Hogwarts Legacy verscheen afgelopen februari voor de next-gen consoles en de PC. De game zou in mei ook uitkomen voor de last-gen consoles, maar Warner Bros. Games heeft de game opnieuw uitgesteld.
In plaats van 4 april 2023, wordt de PlayStation 4 en Xbox One-versie van Hogwarts Legacy uitgesteld naar 5 mei 2023. De Nintendo Switch-versie komt ook nog, maar staat nu gepland voor 25 juli 2023. Ontwikkelaar Avalanche Software zegt iets meer tijd nodig te hebben voor de beste ervaring op de oudere consoles.
Hogwarts Legacy is nu verkrijgbaar voor de PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S en Xbox Series X. De game is nu al een gigantisch succes met 12 miljoen verkochte exemplaren op release.
