Returnal, de mysterieuze sci-fi roquelike game die exclusief verscheen voor de PlayStation 5, is uitgeroepen tot game van het jaar 2021 tijdens de Bafta Game Awards.
Returnal naam het op tegen Deathloop, Forza Horizon 5, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Inscryption en It Takes Two. Niet alleen kreeg Returnal een Game of the Year-prijs, maar ook awards voor audio, muziek en acteerwerk.
